Castaway 2017 is here featuring a ripper line-up that’s three parts Sydney, one part Perth, and heaps of parts hella party.

We’ve marked off Thomson’s Bay, our paradise venue that’s straight off a postcard, for the day, and we’ve curated a first-class selection of Australian contemporary electronic live music acts who plan to smash out epic sets against a spectacular sunset.

Three of Australia’s most spectacular musicians / humans RÜFÜS joining us for our next island soiree. The guys hit Castaway as part of a huge road trip they’ll be taking around Australia this summer - “The Full Bloom Tour”. The Tour marks the one-year anniversary of the release of their #1 Gold-accredited album Bloom, with ~those~ magical anthems You Were Right and Innerbloom.

Brisbane-based producer, instrumentalist and vocalist THE KITE STRING TANGLE is coming to Castaway. TKST’s been a regular at festivals both home and abroad: CMJ, Seattle’s Capital Hill Block Party, SxSW, Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival to name a few. He will join us early next year for what will absolutely be a spine-tinglingly special live performance at Castaway (and no doubt your first chance to hear new material TKST’s been working on, too!).

Sydney’s YUMA X are one of the real finds of 2016 - a singer / producer duo making soft, beautiful, woozy electronica that impresses the pants off most everyone who hears it. Their chilled-out, engrossing blend of electronic and ambient sounds is going to sound spot-on drifting out with the sea breeze as we sway on the island. .

Hanging out with the big boys, we have old m8s PILERATS DJs. Think of them as that annoying dude who takes a USB out to the club with them “on the off chance” you’ll need someone to play some tunes for a bit, or to hijack sets. Or that annoying friend at your house party who takes over the iPod dock because they reckon know better than everyone else when it comes to party tunes. For reasons only known to the people who foolishly booked them, they’ve supported the likes of What So Not, Dune Rats, Alison Wonderland, Chet Faker, RUFUS, and more. They will do whatever it takes to keep the dance floor vibes flowing faster than the drinks…

Hop over to W.A.’s favourite holiday island paradise to enjoy the most talked-about island party this side of the Indian ocean.
