We had some big fun at our little island party last year, huh? Across two super-sold-out festivals, we got our best Perth crew on board, and together we turned it up at Thompsons - downing beers on the beach, shaking our hair in the sea-breeze, kicking up sand...  

Boats bobbed behind the stage over sparkling blue waters, the sunset really turned it on, and a series of Aussie music lords - Peking Duk, Carmada, SAFIA, Sticky Fingers, George Maple and more - knocked our fancy leather boat shoes right off!

In summary, Castaway rules and we're doing it again, obvs.

A who’s who of the Australian live music scene (plenty of triple j faves) are set to descend on our beachside stage. Expect bright trap beats, deadly dark bass, saccharine club pop and a bunch of party fun in between. Plus we're stoked to have two home-turf heroes headlining! Read on for the full run-down.
Old mate WHAT SO NOT will be bringing out the beach bangers. This guy definitely deserves an island break, having spent the majority of 2015 absolutely conquering the world; crushing Coachella, Lollapalooza, Hard Summer, The Mad Decent Block Party and tours of Europe, the States and Australia! We can’t wait to soak up the sunshine with this Aussie music hero; and hear a stellar set of What So Not hotness.

Destroyer of dancefloors, producer GOLDEN FEATURES is a hero of the Australian club scene, and of late has wow-ed many beyond our shores, too. The man in the golden mask has won everyone over with his shadowy, sultry bass productions and mastery of dark dynamics – he knows how to make emotive electronic music like no-one out. See this enigma in action as he electrifies Rottnest with his insane energy.  

We're hanging out to ride the sound waves of producer SABLE when he drops on-theme track, 'Surf', at Castaway! After establishing his career dropping heavenly, saccharine beats, this year the young Perth producer - a part of the Pilerats Records family - let his alter ego escape; producing a darker, sinister yet still bass driven style under the name Shadow Sable. The two musical personalities duelled it out last year during sets onstage across Australia as part of Sable’s epic, projection-heavy national URL LUV IRL tour. Sable's bringing Saybot and the gang across the blue seas for an Island adventure - let's hope robots don't get sunburnt!

With the power to rumble the waters of Rottnest and conjure up dark storm clouds in the sunny skies, TINA SAYS is gearing up to blow us away at Castaway with her electrifying mix of dark bass vibes, high-energy house, deep techno and slow trap beats. As one of Perth's most highly booked club DJs, this talented lady knows how to make bodies move - that includes yours. Limber up for this lady!
