Zaccaria Concerts and Touring (ZCT) is the culmination of many years of experience in the live music and events industry, having developed unrivaled expertise in the promotion and production of large scale concert events, including outdoor concerts. The team consists of passionate people with extensive music industry backgrounds, focused on delivering a premium entertainment experience for its’ clients.
Company History and Overview
Zaccaria (ZCT) was formed in 2009 by John Zaccaria in Perth, Western Australia. A former professional drummer, John believed there was a great opportunity for a “boutique” events company, with a family culture and atmosphere, that could deliver great Australian artists to the local market.
However, after a few short years, the Zaccaria team had grown considerably and the company was delivering large scale outdoor concerts and working with other major national promoters like Paul Dainty, Michael Chugg and Live Nation, to stage concerts for major international artists like Michael Buble, Neil Diamond, Spandau Ballet, Tears for Fears, Sting, Lionel Richie, Mariah Carey, Santana, Stevie Wonder, Duran Duran and more.
Opportunities then arose to independently deliver concerts on a national level, and so Zaccaria Concerts and Touring kicked into a new gear, promoting, and executing tours with Richard Marx, Burt Bacharach, Culture Club, Michael Bolton, Living Colour, Extreme, Mr Big, and many others.
Working with and developing local Australian artists has always been a strong mandate and passion for ZCT. Over the years the company has toured the likes of Cold Chisel, Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham, Icehouse, The Baby Animals, Pete Murray, The Cat Empire, John Butler, Missy Higgins, Rufus, the Presets, Boy and Bear, and other incredibly talented Aussie acts.
In the Summer of 2020-21, in the height of the COVID pandemic, ZCT was the only promoter that continued to work through despite the frustration, adversity and challenges, to continue to deliver concerts right across Australia - and at one stage was conducting the only tour taking place anywhere in the world. This ability to overcome adversity and keep on going no matter what, exemplifies the strong yet flexible framework of the company and the resilience of the entire team.
With one eye firmly on the future, ZCT set up offices in Hong Kong in 2014 to further develop concert touring opportunities and operations in Asia. Since then, the company has taken artists like Jimmy Barnes, The Village People, Bjorn Again, Richard Marx, Michael Bolton and others to venues in Macau, Manila, and Singapore.
ZCT owns and continues to develop three of Australia’s top outdoor concert brands – BY THE C, CASTAWAY and SUMMERSALT. All three brands are targeted at different audiences and markets, but the consistent themes are unique, beach or waterside locations, with a strong emphasis on local community and sustainability. The brands allow ZCT to engage multiple artists from different genres to perform under varying line ups, to the right audience, in an amazing setting.
Over a decade later, that family culture and atmosphere still exists and underpins all the core values of the company, with a firm commitment to patron experience and safety, and creating a great experience and providing the very best for the artists they tour.
Zaccaria is now the largest independent concert promoter in Australia, and proudly 100% Australian owned.
